The amount borrowed as mortgages in January 2008 was up on December, and also higher than the previous six month average. So this means that the workload for CeMAP qualified advisers is increasing again.
David Dooks, Director of Statistics for the British Bankers Association* said that: Higher gross mortgage lending in January largely reflected very strong remortgaging activity.... the strength of remortgaging would suggest competition for mortgage business and switching remains high.
As we have said before, 1.4 million people will be looking to remortgage in 2008, so make sure that you start your CeMAP training as soon as possible so that you can move into this exciting market.
