Similarity between CeMAP and CeFA
CeMAP training is provided for mortgage advisors and it covers mortgage industry products and other associated products like life insurance, buildings and content insurance and critical illness cover. The similarity between CeMAP and CeFA is that CeMAP is aimed at mortgage advisers while CeFA is for financial advisers. In the Certificate of Mortgage Advice and Practice, three exams are required namely CeMAP 1, 2, 3, whereas in CeFA four exams are needed i.e. CeFA 1, 2, 3 and 4. The syllabus for CeMAP 1 and CeFA 1 is identical, in fact it is the same exam. The remaining exams are totally different, specialising in either the mortgage industry or the financial services industry products.
