CeMAP training courses are required to cover the complete exam syllabus for all three exams, CeMAP 1, CeMAP 2, CeMAP 3. These three CeMAP exams must be passed to become qualified as a mortgage adviser. The CeMAP 2 course is divided into four units: 3, 4, 5 and 6. These units cover the complete house buying process and mortgages. The syllabus includes: mortgage law, policy and practice; markets and mortgage applications, mortgage payment methods and products; the house buying process, assessment of status and security; repayment methods, and the pricing of mortgage products. The CeMAP 2 exam comprises 100 questions divided into four units of 25 questions in each unit.
