Thursday, October 29, 2009
You cannot give mortgage advice without CeMAP certification. It is therefore the primary reason why a person who aims at practicing mortgage advisor may require this certification. Without the certification nobody is deemed fit to offer advice on mortgage. It consists of 3 courses.

Financial Regulation forms the first course. It is further split up into a number of units. They should be studied in order to be equipped to take up the exam. The course content is the same regardless of the institute you go to. There are 2 individual courses in it. It is mandatory to obtain 70% or more only then you are deemed to have passed CeMAP one.

Mortgages fall under CeMAP 2. There are 4 units in total within this course. They are mortgage law/policy, practice and markets, arrears and post completion issues and mortgages application payment methods. Each unit should be passed individually. There will be 100 questions in total which covers al the mentioned units. Assessment of mortgage advice knowledge forms CeMAP 3. The unit consists of various things.
