Financial Regulation forms the first course. It is further split up into a number of units. They should be studied in order to be equipped to take up the exam. The course content is the same regardless of the institute you go to. There are 2 individual courses in it. It is mandatory to obtain 70% or more only then you are deemed to have passed CeMAP one.

Mortgages fall under CeMAP 2. There are 4 units in total within this course. They are mortgage law/policy, practice and markets, arrears and post completion issues and mortgages application payment methods. Each unit should be passed individually. There will be 100 questions in total which covers al the mentioned units. Assessment of mortgage advice knowledge forms CeMAP 3. The unit consists of various things.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009
Obtaining a Certification in Mortgage Advice and Practice is the first step to start to enter the mortgage industry. It is fairly quick to achieve this. There are varieties of courses offered to suit individual needs. The three papers required to pass in order to obtain CeMAP certification are;
  • Financial Market overview
  • Mortgage training overview
  • The advisory role (effective communication with clients)
Financial market paper is the most difficult among all. It demands more preparation time than any of the other papers. It is important to gain knowledge from this paper as it forms the base of any career that focuses on finance.

The second and third modules of CeMAP share the same syllabi. Therefore it is advisable to write these papers together at your convenient time. Avoid writing the first module in between these two modules.

The third paper revolves around case studies and practical training. It is important to lay more stress in gaining knowledge and practice through this module.
